A video uploaded to YouTube helped police identify and arrest two people allegedly involved in a road rage incident. Police in Colorado Springs responded to a hit-and-run accident near I-25 on Nevada Avenue. While they were investigating the accident, the officers learned that a YouTube video had been posted by a witness who videotaped the incident.

The witness, who is a delivery driver in the city, said that his dash camera is always on and recording when he’s making deliveries. The man said he ended up driving behind to vehicles when he was on his way to make a delivery.

According to the witness, a motorcyclist pulled up next to a Mustang. Just moments later, the Mustang knocked the driver of the motorcycle to the ground by swerving at the bike. The witness said told a local news station that the incident was the worst thing his video has captured. He said, “It was pretty ridiculous from both parties. I feel bad because I’m not trying to get people charged, but at the same time we can’t have that kind of activity on the roads.”

The witness also said that the motorcyclist told him that his girlfriend had almost been run off the road by the car, which is what allegedly started the road rage incident. Police said that the video shows the altercation between the two drivers and the driver of the car causing the motorcycle to crash.

Both drivers were arrested. The motorcyclist, 22, was arrested on suspicion of harassment. The driver of the car, 21, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault.

Both parties will now have to mount a criminal defense against the charges. If you are faced with similar charges, it is important that you present a strong defense on your behalf. An attorney can help you determine which defense strategy should be used in your case.
